Mobile Windshield Chip Repair in Spring Hill & Hernando County FL

Chip Away covers all three counties in our service area, and Hernando County is as regular a stop as Citrus or Marion. Spring Hill, Brooksville, Weeki Wachee — if your vehicle is in Hernando County and you have a chip in your windshield, Patrick can get out to you. Most of the time, same day.

Why Hernando County Drivers Pick Up So Many Chips

Hernando County sits in an interesting spot geographically. It is growing fast — especially along the US-19 corridor — while still carrying significant commercial traffic on its main roads. US-19 runs the length of the county from north to south, through Spring Hill, Weeki Wachee, and the coastal communities. SR-50 (Cortez Boulevard) runs east-west from the coast through Brooksville and continues to I-75, picking up substantial truck traffic from inland Florida.

Add in the commuter traffic from Hernando County residents heading south toward the Tampa metro, and you have a lot of loaded trucks and high-speed highway miles. That is exactly where rock chips come from. Gravel haulers, dump trucks, flatbeds carrying construction material — at 60 miles per hour, a stone thrown off a rear tire hits your windshield like a small projectile. If you drive US-19 or SR-50 regularly, this is probably not news to you.

Spring Hill

Spring Hill is one of Florida's largest unincorporated communities, with roughly 113,000 residents spread across a wide suburban area along US-19, Spring Hill Drive, Mariner Boulevard, and Commercial Way. It is not one city — it is a large, sprawling community that grew quickly and is still adding new construction. Most of Chip Away's Hernando County calls come from Spring Hill.

If you work or live in Spring Hill and picked up a chip on your morning commute, call when you get to your destination and we can usually schedule a visit for the same day. Patrick comes to your driveway, your workplace parking lot, wherever the car is sitting. You do not have to go anywhere.

Brooksville

Brooksville is smaller and more historic than Spring Hill, but the roads around it carry real traffic. SR-50 heading east toward I-75 sees consistent regional truck movement, and US-41 coming south from Citrus County is another common route for commercial vehicles. US-41 actually runs directly between Crystal River and Brooksville — it is roughly 35 miles and it is a road Patrick drives regularly to reach Brooksville-area customers.

If you are in Brooksville or the communities nearby — Masaryktown, Ridge Manor, the rural areas toward I-75 — we cover your area. Call in the morning, describe the damage, and we will get a time on the calendar.

Weeki Wachee

Weeki Wachee sits at the intersection of US-19 and SR-50, which means it gets traffic from every direction. Residents, tourists heading to Weeki Wachee Springs State Park, commercial vehicles, and a steady flow of RV traffic along the US-19 corridor. If you are passing through, staying in the area, or parked at a campground near the Weeki Wachee River, we can come to wherever the vehicle is sitting. RV with a chip? Same deal — Patrick comes to your site.

Hernando County is part of our regular service area. No extra charge for the drive. Spring Hill, Brooksville, Weeki Wachee — wherever you are in Hernando County, you pay the same rate as a Crystal River customer.

Why Mobile Beats the Drive to a Shop

If you are in Spring Hill or Brooksville, you have a few glass shops within driving distance. Going to one of them means dropping off the car, arranging a ride home or sitting in a waiting room, and then picking it up later. For a repair that takes 30 minutes, that is a two-hour errand you did not need to run.

With mobile service, none of that applies. You call, we pick a time, Patrick shows up wherever the car is parked. He does the repair, you keep on with your day. That is the point of a mobile specialist — the shop comes to you.

Pricing — Same Rate, No Travel Fee

We do not charge extra for Hernando County. One chip is $100 to $125. Each additional chip on the same windshield is $10 more. No service fees, no travel surcharge, no surprises. If you picked up three chips on the same drive — which happens when a truck throws a handful of gravel at once — we fix all three in one visit. Three chips runs $120 to $145 total.

Call or text (352) 234-4412 and tell Patrick what you are looking at. How big the chip is, where it sits on the glass, whether it has started to spread. He can tell you over the phone whether it sounds repairable, and if it does, we get a time on the calendar. We work Monday through Saturday 8 AM to 6 PM, and Sunday by appointment.
